Abstract

The research aims to classify the sample members according to their respective styles: left, right, and integrated, and to identify the relationship between cerebral dominance according to the styles and the level of technical performance of students effectively running the 110-meter hurdles, and the percentage of the contribution of cerebral dominance to the level of technical performance of students effectively running the 110-meter hurdles. The researcher assumes that there is a significant correlation. A statistical function between the patterns of brain dominance (left, right, and integrated, and the level of technical performance of students in the effectiveness of running the 110-meter hurdles. There are varying contribution percentages of the patterns of dominance of the right, left, and integrated brain) in the level of technical performance of students in the effectiveness of running the 110-meter hurdles.

The researcher used the descriptive approach in both survey and correlational studies because it suits the nature and problem of the research. The research population was determined by the students of the second stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/University of Babylon, for the academic year (2022-2023), who numbered 185 students, and a sample of 30 students were chosen by a simple random lottery method. It was concluded that The researcher showed a real and clear relationship between the index of cerebral dominance of both the right and left hemispheres and the performance evaluation of students effectively running the 110-meter hurdles. There are varying contribution rates between the cerebral dominance of the two hemispheres of the brain and the performance evaluation of students effectively running the 110-meter hurdles.
