Abstract

 Abstract

The importance of the research lies in the fact that it is a research attempt concerned with consolidating the idea of pressing play training in the reality of Iraqi club and national team exercises through these pressing exercises to achieve the desired goal, as well as experimenting with the use of defensive exercises characterized by rapid application and high accuracy together and knowing the extent of the impact of pressing play exercises on the development of man-to-man defense. And reducing the possession percentage for young football players in a step aimed at strengthening the sports field with practical experiences and serving researchers in the sports field. The study aimed to prepare pressing play exercises in developing man-to-man defense and reduce the possession percentage for young football players, in addition to that, identifying the effect of the exercises. Pressure play in the development of man-to-man defense and reducing the percentage of possession for emerging football players. The researchers used the experimental method by designing two equal groups (experimental and control) with a pre- and post-standard that suits the nature of the research problem and achieves the desired goals. The research sample was selected by a simple random method (lottery). The experimental group was represented by the Babylon Junior Sports Club, which numbered (22) players and was distributed equally into two groups: the experimental group (10) players, and the control group (10) players. The research variables included the requirements of man-to-man defense and reducing the percentage of possession. The researchers used appropriate statistical methods. After presenting, analyzing and discussing the results, the researcher reached the following conclusions: that the pressing play exercises developed the man-to-man defense with both types of close defense and flexible defense for the experimental group under study. 7 The pressing play style exercises were able to reduce the possession percentage of the opposing team.
