Perception of depth of vision and focus of attention and its relationship to the accuracy of the left straight punch among Junior boxers

Abstract

The visual abilities and manifestations of attention are variables selected by the researcher because of his belief in their contribution to the development of performance through the accuracy of the left straight punch and thus achieving the important points for winning. Therefore, the researcher was keen to clarify these correlations between the perception of vision and concentration of attention on the one hand and the accuracy of the left straight punch on the other hand, in order to shed light on it  to contribute to revealing the positive points, strengthening them, and the negative points and overcoming them among the junior boxers.                                     

The researcher aims to identify the relationship between each of the perception of depth of vision and focus of attention with the accuracy of the left straight punch that the research sample has

The researcher used the descriptive approach in the manner of mutual correlative relations, and the research sample was represented by   Babylon  juniors in boxing, with a sum of 20 boxers. The  researcher conducted  the pilot study on 20/1/2020.       

As for the most important conclusions, there were strong correlations between the research variables represented by (depth of vision, focus of attention) with the accuracy of the left straight punch. The researcher recommend the need to pay attention to developing the perception of visual vision, in addition to the manifestations of attention and other mental abilities as a whole, through mental and skill exercises, in order to achieve perfection in performance.
