Abstract

Through the researchers’ field experience, as well as their follow-up to the Iraqi Premier League matches for the youth category, as well as the matches of the Iraqi national teams, they noticed that the high intensity of exercises required by this event leads to the emergence of cases of early fatigue and a state of unwillingness to complete the exercises, and also the failure to perform repetitions with the same efficiency that He started on it in the first iterations, as well as not committing to rest times between exercises, and all this leads to not reaching the player to the required higher levels, especially in carrying the defensive and offensive performance that requires the players a very high effort, so note there is a great shortcoming in giving exercises that carry defensive performance And the offensive, as well as the use of classic and traditional exercises without going into the use of modern methods that are characterized by motivation and suspense, as well as the development of working muscles for the target purpose of the exercise. Therefore, the researchers considered preparing specialized exercises in the TABATA style, the aim of which is to try to positively influence the defensive and offensive performance, and that most studies and research in the field of handball training did not focus on this method in terms of training, so there was a need to study it and make it in the hands of coaches, players and researchers. .

Objectives were set in preparing specialized exercises in the style of (TABATA) handball, as well as identifying the effect of (TABATA) exercises in enduring the defensive and offensive performance of youth handball. Kufa, which number (12) players, were chosen by the researcher in full for the experiment, as they were divided equally into two groups (experimental and control) using the simple random method (lot).
