Abstract

The  research aims to identify the extent of the use of mental training in its various forms by the coaches  of total and partial professionalism, and the second degree in Palestine. The research sample included (50) coaches of the teams participating in the Palestinian Football League for the sports season 2019/2020. The researchers used the descriptive approach due to its relevance to the nature of the research by using a questionnaire designed by the researchers. The most important results of this research indicated that the degree of using mental training for the study sample was moderately (52.4%). The research also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the extent of the use of mental training between coaches according to the variable of the club level and in favor of professional clubs, as well as the presence of significant differences according to the variable of the training certificate and in favor of the Asian certificate holders A, which helped the researchers to come up with some recommendations, the most important of which are: paying more attention to mental training and placing it within the annual plan for trainers, and focusing on it in the developmental training courses for coaches .
