Abstract

Psychology is an important factor in many sports, artistic and social activities, and the psychological hesitation factor has a sufficient degree to observe performance, as it greatly affects female players in particular and players in general as a result of examining psychological barriers and then evaluating the psychological aspect, as women have taken an important role in physical and psychological preparation. Physiology and among the various women’s games in the arena and field, our study specializes in the women’s (100 m) hurdles. Which requires a high level and an ongoing struggle to achieve the best result, and requires physical and tactical preparation, willpower, and high courage. Through the researchers’ follow-up of the female players in the 100m hurdles event at the international and local levels, it was noted that there is a weakness in performance, so we try to search for the real reasons for these failures and take this into consideration and hesitation. Psychological problems in the 100m event and the lack of complete awareness of the female players as a result of the lack of physical, motor and psychological capabilities and the presence of difficulties, psychological disorders and pressures that they face in training and competition. Then the aspects of winning and losing are studied in addition to the individual effort and capabilities that fall upon them in training. Therefore, the researcher decided to delve into this problem and find a solution to it. Perhaps the aspect of psychological hesitation is considered one of the main steps to study this case. The researcher assumed the presence of statistically significant differences between the results of the pre- and post-tests of the research sample and in favor of the post-tests. The researcher used the descriptive approach (correlational relationship) to solve the problem, and the sample represented Diyala Youth Sports Club players.
