The reality of confrontation efficiency and psychological barriers among young basketball players

The research aims to identify the correlation between coping efficiency and psychological barriers among young basketball players. The possibility of developing predictive equations for coping efficiency in terms of psychological barriers among young basketball players. The descriptive approach was used using survey methods and correlational and predictive relationships. The research sample included young players in Basketball for the Middle Euphrates clubs (Babylon, Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Holy Karbala, Al-Diwaniyah) for the 2022-2023 sports season. The research sample was chosen randomly (by lottery) with (86) players representing (8) clubs. The confrontation efficiency scale consisted of (24) items representing four areas, and the psychological barriers scale had (52) items representing six areas. The answer alternatives were five. The research came out with a set of conclusions, including developing a predictive equation to predict confrontation efficiency in terms of the psychological barriers of basketball players. The research came out with a set of recommendations, including holding seminars that work to educate players about the importance of confrontation efficiency that helps them overcome obstacles and difficult situations, and instilling confidence in the souls of players because it works to reduce Psychological barriers.
