Predicting emotional intelligence in terms of aggressive behavior and anger among young basketball players

Abstract

Anger is one of the causes of aggressive behavior when it is generated in players, and this happens because they do not interact and practice emotional intelligence while playing, as emotional intelligence is a group of mental abilities that enable the acquisition of knowledge, learning, and solving problems that the individual faces, especially during play, and from here some questions come to the mind of the researcher. Which are:

• Does emotional intelligence have an effective role for basketball players while playing?
• Is there a role for emotional intelligence on anger among young basketball players
• Is there a role for emotional intelligence on aggressive behavior among young basketball players?
• Through the previous questions that were on the mind of the researcher, he decided to conduct his research to find solutions to these questions. He decided to conduct research on emotional intelligence in terms of anger and aggressive behavior.

The research aims to:

• Preparing measures of emotional intelligence for aggressive behavior and anger among young basketball players.
• Identifying emotional intelligence, aggressive behavior and anger among young basketball players.
• Identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence in terms of both aggressive behavior and anger among young basketball players.
