Abstract

Identifying the relationship between motivation and the level of sporting ambition of players of some Premier League football clubs, as well as identifying the size and level of the impact of motivation on the level of sporting ambition of players of some Premier League football clubs. The researchers used the descriptive approach due to its suitability and the nature of the research. The research community was represented by the players of the Premier League football clubs in Iraq for the 2021-2022 sports season, who numbered (18) clubs. As for the research sample, it was chosen intentionally and represented by the players of the clubs (Al-Zawraa - Al-Shorta - Naft). The number of players is (55) players, including (18) players for Al-Zawraa Club, (21) players for Al-Shorta Club, and (16) players for Naft Al-Wasat Club, and among those who responded to the questionnaires. The researchers used two measures of motivation and the level of athletic ambition as means of collecting data, and they used (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage, Cron-Nbach alpha reliability coefficient, simple Pearson correlation coefficient, effect size (d) for correlations, Cohen’s levels to interpret the effect size (d) for relationships Correlation) as statistical means.
