The use of various exercises to develop mental alertness with skillful performance, which will generate in the players a state of positive thinking, which means finding ideas, words and images that help to improve achievement and success through positive and good results that can be acquired during the performance and thus the ability to perform well will raise .
Mental alertness is one of the vital processes, being one of the basic requirements for many mental processes such as remembering, perception and thinking. The research aimed to:
. Identify the impact of various exercises on developing mental alertness among volleyball players.1

The researcher used the experimental approach of the experimental group with two pre and post tests due to its suitability for research requirements. The research sample consisted of the (12) players of the volleyball team of the College of Basic Education of Al-Mustansiriya University, which amounted to (12) players for the academic year 2018/2019. After using the appropriate statistical means to process the data, the researcher concluded that
