The effect of the self-competitive style according to the timing of the feedback (immediate and delayed) on teaching some types of handball shooting among students

Abstract

The significance of the research lies in selecting  the best teaching methods that motivate the students’ abilities and potentials, and giving the teacher practical methods applied in a scientific way that he can benefit from in carrying out exercises to facilitate the learning process, as well as identifying  the appropriate timing for feedback is very important that helps to establish the correct response and thus benefit from information and access to the ideal performance. The research problem manifests the lack of teachers and trainers giving sufficient attention to modern educational methods and focusing on traditional methods of explaining the scientific material as well as relying on personal experience and this leads to boredom among the learners and thus the unwillingness to complete the lesson with the same activity and vitality. The research aims to identify  the effect of the self-competitive method according to the timing of the immediate and delayed feedback in teaching some types of handball shooting to students.  As for the research hypotheses, it showed a positive effect of the self-competitive method according to the timing of immediate and delayed feedback in teaching some types of handball shooting to students. The researchers used the experimental approach of equivalent groups .The research sample amounted to (66) students , divided randomly by draw  into three groups, with a rate of (22) students per group. The educational curriculum was applied to the control group according to the method of the subject teacher. As for the first and second experimental group, they applied the method of self-competitive according to the timing of the immediate and late feedback, as it included the devices and tools used in the research. It also contained the pilot study  , and the pre and  posttests, and the statistical methods used. As for the fourth chapter, the results were presented and discussed in a scientific discussion based on scientific sources. The researcher reached some conclusions, the most important of which was that the method of self-competitive according to the timing of the immediate and delayed feedback had a positive impact in teaching some types of  Handball shooting  to  students.
