For the purpose of answering the research questions about the relationship between mental health and students' attitudes toward physical and athletic activity, the researcher used the descriptive approach in a way of relational relationships on a sample of (240) male and female students from the Faculty of Arts at Hafr Al-Batin University. After applying the tools for research on them and addressing the data to obtain the results the researcher reached the most important conclusions: There are no differences between male and female students in their attitudes towards physical and athletic activity and its importance to enhance mental health, and there is a moral correlation between the areas of mental health and the trend towards the practice of physical activity and sports among university students. The researcher recommends the following:
-The need to pay attention to university students' exercise of physical and athletic activity of various kinds on or off campus by providing sports halls and stadiums, as well as providing modern sports equipment.
-Carrying out similar research on the effect of physical and athletic activity on the functional, psychological and physical variables of university students who are not specialized in the sports field.
