Abstract

The study aimed at preparing special exercises for the development of the stages of gradation in speed and the maximum speed of the competition of (100) m junior runners for young people and identify the impact of special exercises for the development of these stages and improve the achievement of the runners, during which the researcher used the experimental method to suit the nature of the problem in order to achieve the objectives of the research, by designing two equivalent groups of  pre and post-test. After identifying the (100 m) junior runner players aged (16-17) years by (12) junior runners, a random sample of (8) runners was selected s and gave each (3) attempts to become the sample by (12) attempt for each group. The researcher used the number of attempts instead of the number of individuals because of the small size of the sample - they were randomly distributed in two groups by (4) runners for each group.

After the testing and measurement of the research variables, the results of the research were extracted after the statistical treatment. The researcher concluded that Special exercises to develop the stages of gradation in speed and maximum speed have had a significant effect on   improving the achievement of competition of (100) m runner  and Special exercises to develop the stages of gradation in speed and maximum speed are more effective in improving achievement compared with the regular training program.

The researcher then recommended that trainers should know the exercises for each stage of the runner competition of (100) m and the trainers should focus on developing the stage of the gradation in speed because it is the basis in developing the maximum speed in the competition of (100) m
