Predictive value of some handball skills in terms of physical measurements among female students

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the skills of handball suitable for students of the fourth stage of 2013-2014 year as well as well as identifying the physical specifications of the same students and then identify the relationship between two variables of performance skills and physical measurements among female students.

To achieve these goals, the researchers used the descriptive approach in surveying and correlative relationships. The data were obtained by measuring 27 female students, representing the target stage in the research technical tests and body measurements of body weight, total body length, lengths, saturation, and physical subsidiary surroundings. Thus, the statistical analysis resulted in the most important results:

1. There is a significant relationship between the handling skill and physical measurements (length of the arm, arm length, arm length). (Body weight, arm length, shoulder circumference), receiving skill and body measurements (palm length, arm length))
2. The value of the performance of the skill of handling can be estimated in terms of the physical measurements of the students by using the predictive equation derived from the relationship of variables with each other.
