Sports anxiety and its relationship to high long-serving performance in badminton

The study aimed to:
- Identifying the relationship between sports anxiety and the accuracy of the long high serve among the players of the Kirkuk national team in badminton.
Recognizing the sports anxiety and the accuracy of the long high serve among the players of the Kirkuk national team in badminton.
The researcher used the descriptive approach in the correlative method to suit the nature of the problem.
The research sample was represented by the Kirkuk badminton team players who were subjected to the sports anxiety scale to obtain the data for the research and after collecting the data it was processed statistically, and the researchers reached the following conclusions:
- There is a significant correlation between sports anxiety and the performance of the long serve skill in badminton among the research sample.
2 . The sample members have low anxiety and good self-confidence.
. 3 Proper psychological preparation is of great importance besides the physical preparation and the tactical and theoretical aspect helps to raise the achievement and this is what the game coaches achieve during their training units by providing psychological sessions that raise the player’s morale and self-confidence.
The researcher recommended the following:
- Strengthening the player's self-confidence while continuing the skills training process and the need for the player to assess his level of play.
- Creating an atmosphere of familiarity between the players in proportion to the atmosphere of competition, by accustoming the players to the different situations that may occur during competitions.
- Conducting various researches for the psychological skills necessary for the player to perform in a distinctive way with the different game skills and to know the weaknesses in them and develop them.
