The concept of the physical self and its relationship to the assertive behavior of the handball players of Erbil Club

The various types of physical activity are among the activities that affect performance and situations that may have an impact on the individual’s personality, including the assertive behavior of the players, where the presence of determination and impulse to play is necessary, especially in the game of handball, and for this research aims to identify the relationship between (the physical self) And (the assertive behavior) of the handball players of the Erbil Sports Club, through the application of two measures to the players of the Erbil Handball Club, which amount to (16) players. The descriptive approach was used through the use of both measures of the physical self and assertive behavior of the players as tools for research, and the researcher used a number of statistical methods to address the results obtained, such as the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and the simple correlation coefficient (Pearson). After presenting and discussing the results, the researcher reached a number of conclusions, including that the results showed that there is a difference in the dimensions of the physical self of the Erbil club players and assertive behavior, as well as the absence of a significant relationship between the dimensions of the physical self and assertive behavior. In light of these results, the researcher reached a number of recommendations, including working to build training programs for the development of (physical qualities) and (firm behavior) for the players of the Erbil Club in the Erbil Governorate handball. The game is worldwide, but it must be taken into account that it develops the training methodology and obtains the preparation of the player at the required level in terms of physicality, as well as attention to the psychological aspect as well, through the presence of continuous programs to prepare the players to a good psychological state and increase the state of their assertive behavior through rush and determination to reach To the best results within the scope of the rules and respect for the opposing team as well.
