Abstract

In recent times, interest in self-regulation of learning has become an essential and important axis in the learning and teaching process due to its great importance and its effective role in educating students in a way of organizing their knowledge and information that they gain self-enhance and strengthening students’ strength in solving the problems they face. The student can use it spontaneously and keep it.

The research aims to:

1- Building and standardizing a scale to assess the self-regulation of learning among the students of Al-Safwa University College in Karbala Governorate

2- Finding criteria (degrees and levels) for the designed scale.

As for the research problem, the researcher noticed that the thing that leads to a weak ability to perform well in many students is not due to a low degree of intelligence, a lack of effort, or a weak tendency to study, or because of the low level of their skills in self-regulation of learning.

The research community was represented by the students of Al-Safwa University College in Karbala, who numbered 62 students. The research sample was 48 students, which constituted a percentage of 77.41% of the research community.

The research included presentation, analysis and discussion of the results.
