Abstract

Archery originated as a means of survival where hunting prey for the purpose of food, but in the nineteenth century, the industrial revolution made the search for food unnecessary for many people, so archery developed as a sport, especially in English-speaking countries such as England and the United States, as well as Ireland and South Africa. Formed in 1871, the National Rifle Association in the United States of America, which is credited with developing shooting as a form of organized sport in the United States. Rifle and pistol shooting, a sport that was born, when man discovered explosive gunpowder and weapons, was practiced by man to acquire skill in aiming and used for defense or Attack and hunt.

However, this sport has grown and flourished during the current era and entered many local, regional and international tournaments and has multiple championships and various competitions in which patience, accuracy and strength of nerves are tested. It is currently practiced by men and women and its clubs are spread in many countries of the world. And it includes shooting competitions in the Paralympic Games. The following competitions: shooting at targets, shooting at dishes.

Where the “Dram and Skeet” event is considered one of the shooting activities that people with special needs practice in a very limited way and is almost non-existent in the Iraqi Paralympic Committee and the Shooting Federation for People with Special Needs, due to the difficulty of providing tools, equipment and playgrounds for that event due to its high prices, and we have to pay attention to this event as well Keeping pace with the development of shooting weapons of all kinds, in particular (earth and skeet), as well as all shooting tools for this event, so that we, as workers in this field, keep pace with the development in order to achieve the best results, because the numbers reached by the world champions made it necessary for us to intensify our studies for this event in order to achieve results advanced and keeping pace with the rest of the countries, where the world championships are among the most important tournaments in which qualification numbers are achieved for the upcoming Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

The focus of our study is to identify the level of achievement among women compared to men in the (Trap and Skeet) event for the participants in the World Championships in Italy 2019

Hence the question arises, what are the percentages and the amount of development in the effectiveness of dirt and skeet in the world championships?

The following objectives can be identified.

The level of women's achievement compared to men's effectiveness (dirt and skeet) participating in the World Championships, which was held in Italy 2019. The results were discussed and appropriate conclusions and recommendations were reached.
