The academic and professional performance of the university professor and his role in achieving the quality of higher education

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of the academic and professional performance of the university professor in achieving the quality of higher education for the faculty members of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Mustansiriya University, by designing two scales to measure academic and professional performance and quality of education. This research, and the research sample is represented by all the teachers of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences of Al-Mustansiriya University, who number (77). Indicators that measure the quality of higher education in universities. The researcher recommended working on developing a system design for evaluating the performance of a faculty member, including evaluating the quality of educational programs and curricula, the quality of teaching and scientific research, with the participation of students in evaluating performance.
