Mental flexibility among female students in colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences In universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

The current research aims to identify the degree of mental flexibility among female students of colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and the significance of the differences in it according to the variables: governorate, university, and age. The researchers used the descriptive survey method, by applying the mental flexibility scale prepared by the researchers after verifying the psychometric properties of the scale. The research community included female students of the second stage in colleges and departments of physical education in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and their number reached (138) students during the academic year (2021-2022), and the sample that was chosen intentionally consisted of (121) female students. After analyzing the data statistically using SPSS, the results showed that the degree of mental flexibility among female students in universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is high. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in mental flexibility due to the variables: governorate, university, and age. In light of the results, a number of recommendations and proposals were presented.
