The impact of a guidance program to develop some creative thinking skills for participants in scouting teams of the Babylon Governorate Center
Abstract
The nature and importance of the problem centered around developing and cultivating the ability to think creatively among participants in scouting teams for the Scout stage through preparing a proposed guidance program. This study aimed to develop and apply measures of creative thinking among middle school students in the Babylon Governorate Scouts. The study also aims to develop a psychological counseling curriculum to develop creative thinking among middle school students in the Babylon Scouts. For the scouting stage. The researcher used two methods: The descriptive approach: The researcher used the descriptive approach to prepare a measure of creative thinking for the middle school group in Babylon Governorate. Experimental Method: The researcher used the experimental method in using the independent variable in this study (i.e., the psychological counseling program) to measure its effect on the first dependent variable (i.e., developing the characteristics of creative thinking). It was applied to a research sample consisting of (24) scouts who were divided into two groups, control and experimental. The experimental group consisted of (12) Scouts, representing 50% of the total sample of the program application samples, including (24) Scouts. . Then the experimental samples were taught after the two groups of pre-tests, and after the completion of teaching the experimental group, the researcher conducted the post-tests and prepared the two groups, where the researcher concluded that the proposed counseling psychological program had a significant impact on developing creative thinking for the scout stage. The psychological counseling system designed by the researcher has a positive impact in enhancing the creative thinking of the Scouts.
