Abstract

The research aimed to identify the quality of admission tests in colleges of physical education and sports sciences in Iraq from the point of view of their teachers, as well as to identify the level of scientific competence possessed by graduate students from colleges of physical education and sports sciences in Iraq. Then, to find the relationship between the quality of admission tests in colleges of physical education and sports sciences in Iraq and the scientific competence possessed by graduate students. The researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey method and the correlational method. The research community was limited to teachers in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in Iraqi government universities, who numbered (1640). Relying on Thompson's law in calculating sample sizes, the researcher chose (312) teachers to form the main research sample, and then divided them into three subgroups: the first is the exploratory study sample, the second is the statistical analysis sample, and the third is the final application sample, with numbers reaching (12, 180). , 120) teachers. It was found that the admission tests to colleges of physical education and sports sciences within Iraqi universities were not of the required quality, as the quality level of these tests was average.
