Abstract

The scientific efforts made by physical therapy centers and their reliance on various methods and techniques are determined by the type and level of the injury, which has called for therapists to exert their utmost efforts for the purpose of achieving integration between rehabilitative exercises and their use of these rehabilitative methods. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) treatment is a method approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is a commonly used method in modern pain management. It is used for many forms of acute and chronic pain. Two electrodes are placed on the skin connected to a unit. The unit generates electricity and passes it to the electrode in the affected area body. There are different theories about how TENS works. Others suggest that it has an effect similar to acupuncture. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation leads to the release of opioids and thus reduces pain. From the sporting and non-sporting aspects, during his daily work, a person faces many accidents that cause him some injuries and severe pain and lead to his disability and his inability to practice his work and daily life, which affects the psychological aspect, which requires providing care, prevention and treatment of these injuries when they occur, and there are ways Various methods and devices help in rehabilitation by applying rehabilitative exercises that help relieve pain and restore the physical aspect of those affected by injuries.
