The effectiveness of some educational formations in acquiring the basic skills of freestyle swimming among students of the Department of Physical Education at Garmian University

The research aims to investigate the effectiveness of aquatic educational formations on learning and acquiring the basic skills of freestyle swimming among a sample of beginning students from the Department of Physical Education - College of Basic Education - Garmian University. The research community represented the students of the fourth stage for the academic year (2023-2024), who numbered (48) students. The research sample was chosen randomly and consisted of (24) students. Thus, the percentage of the sample reached (50.00%), excluding the failed and practicing students and the exploratory experiment sample. Based on the characteristics of the sample and relying on pre-tests, they were divided into two equal and equal groups (control = 12 students) using the established method and (experimental = 12 students) using the proposed educational curriculum. After implementing the educational program and conducting pre- and post-tests of the skills to be learned, the data was transcribed and the researcher used the statistical package (SPSS) to process and analyze the research results. The researcher concluded the educational curriculum using the prepared water formations that led to the acquisition of the basic skills of free swimming. The effectiveness of educational formations in learning and acquiring the technical performance of free swimming among members of the experimental group.
