Using (SWOT) analysis to study the reality of sporting events at the National Athletics Centre

Abstract

The research aims to reveal the factors of the internal and external environment (strength and weakness), (opportunities and threats) using (SWOT) analysis due to their importance in developing sports events. The descriptive approach was used by applying the questionnaire form as a tool for collecting data, as the research sample reached (18) individuals from officials. And coaches of the National Center for Athletics, the results were that (SWOT) analysis reveals the strengths and weaknesses that affect the reality of sporting events, and the weak application of (SWOT) analysis by the National Center’s trainers. The recommendations are the necessity of using (SWOT) analysis continuously for each training stage to know the reality of sporting events, and that the (SWOT) analysis be clear. It is specific to ensure achieving goals and raising the level of performance, and benefiting from the analysis outputs by improving the level of sporting events.
