Zumba exercises are one of the modern trends in training methods, as their movements are characterized by spontaneity, beauty and harmonious coordination with music, which encourages individuals to practice them as a physical activity or for excellence.
Accordingly, the research aimed to reveal the effect of a curriculum of aerobic exercises accompanied by music with the rhythm of Zumba on the percentage of the happy hormone (serotonin), the maximum oxygen consumption, and the state and function of the heart among those who exercised in physical activity.
The researchers used the experimental method by designing the pre and post measurement, as the research community consisted of students of the second stage in the physical education school at Koya University, and the research sample consisted of (18) students in the school of physical education, 3 of them were excluded for their participation in the exploratory experiment. The use of low-intensity interval training based on the schedule prepared by (Fox and Matthews) for a period of two months, with three training units per week and with pregnancy ripples
The study revealed that there were significant differences between the pre and post test by the percentage of serotonin hormone, the maximum oxygen consumption and the resting heart rate among the members of the research sample. Accordingly, the researchers concluded that the aerobic training program with the Zumba rhythm caused a significant development in the hormone serotonin, the maximum value of oxygen consumption, as well as the heart rate
