Sports investment requirements in sports clubs of the province of Babylon

Abstract

In light of the financial crisis facing the Iraqi government and its quest for a market economy as an economic system instead of a central economy, and the state’s adoption of the concept of investments for many public and state-owned projects, a new trend  tried to implement the concept of investment in sports activity for its economic, social, political and media returns, and to reduce the burden on Iraqi sports clubs due to the lack of financial support provided to sports clubs. It has become necessary for these clubs to seek new funding sources without relying on government support to cover the costs of the activities provided. Through this framework, the researcher seeks to identify the most important requirements for successful investment and enabling sports clubs to Implementing the necessary sports projects and not relying on government support in an attempt to transform this sector into a public benefit sector to achieve profit, hopes and aspirations of the broad base of sports practitioners .
