Dimensions of psychological burnout and its relationship to the psychological toughness of players in Premier League handball clubs

Abstract

The importance of this study lies in the fact that the phenomenon of psychological burnout is a psychological phenomenon that obstructs athletic achievement and reduces the level of handball players in the Premier League because this phenomenon is characterized by many dimensions, some of which may affect the level of handball players in the Premier League due to the somewhat close levels between the teams and the high intensity of competition, which led to the focus On the training or technical aspects, as for the research problem, the problem crystallizes on a set of questions that determine the dimensions of the problem and surround the topic of choice for this study and attempts to develop effective solutions to it, which are:

• What is the importance of knowing a number of psychological phenomena and the interaction between them and the extent of their impact on handball players
• Is there a relationship between the topics of the study and the extent to which they influence each other and their impact on Premier League handball players?
• The lack of studies that have addressed the issue of psychological burnout and linked it to topics such as the psychological toughness of handball players in the Premier League.
• What is the role of psychological burnout on handball players and the extent of the role of psychological toughness for Premier League players in reducing this?

The objectives of the research were to build and apply a measure of the dimensions of psychological burnout among players of premium-class handball clubs, prepare and apply a measure of psychological toughness among players of premium-class handball clubs, and establish standard levels for a measure of the dimensions of psychological burnout and psychological toughness among players of premium-class handball clubs. And to identify the level of dimensions of psychological burnout and psychological toughness among players of premium-class handball clubs, and to identify the relationship between the dimensions of the psychological burnout scale and psychological toughness among players of premium-class handball clubs.
