Abstract

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the speed of motor response among first-grade middle school students

The relationship between some basic skills and motor response speed among first-year intermediate students.

The researcher used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research. The research sample consisted of (150) first-grade middle school students. The researcher also used the Nelson test to measure the speed of motor response to physical tests. Skill tests were also used (the skill of chest handling from movement). Test of numbered circles) and the skill of high thrust (test of high thrust between the signs back and forth for a distance of (10) m) and the aiming skill (test of aiming from under the basket for (15 seconds))

The researcher used the SPSS program to extract the following statistical methods to process the data, which are (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient for (Pearson))

The researcher reached the following conclusions:

1- There is a significant correlation between the speed of motor response and the skills of chest handling and aiming among first grade students.

2- There is no significant correlation between the speed of motor response and the high drumming skill of first grade students.
