The effect of a therapeutic program using the Marcy wedge device accompanied by laser therapy in the rehabilitation of the injured elbow joint in women

Abstract

The importance of the research comes from reducing the duration of treatment as well as the importance of modern devices used in the research, whether in treatment or in exercises. The researcher used laser in treatment, which is the latest method in the world, which ensures the treatment of the injury and the return of the injured person to practice her daily work at a record speed. The Marcy wedge device was also used to perform strength and flexibility exercises at a slow pace. The researchers also used the 200-EK3 electronic device to measure muscle strength in Newton units. The problem of the research lies in the long duration of the treatment programs used in medical rehabilitation centers, which are not in the interest of the injured person. Therefore, the researcher decided to reduce the duration of treatment by using modern and advanced devices that save time and effort. The study aimed to prepare strength and flexibility exercises using the Marcy wedge device and laser therapy sessions in the rehabilitation of the injured elbow joint in women, and also to identify the effect of strength and flexibility exercises accompanying the laser therapy sessions prepared in the rehabilitation of the injured elbow joint in women.

The researcher used the experimental method with a single-group design and a pre- and post-measurement method. The research was conducted on a sample of (20 injured) who were deliberately selected from among women with tennis elbow injuries, aged between 25-30 years.  . The researcher concluded that the therapeutic laser has a positive effect in reducing pain and speeding up the healing of the injury, and that the treatment program using the Marcy wedge device led to an increase in the strength and flexibility of the injured elbow joint. The researcher recommended the necessity of adopting laser in the treatment of various injuries because it achieves good results in a short time.
