Abstract

The research aims to build a scale for scout camps and enhance environmental awareness. Identify the impact of scout camps on enhancing the awareness of climate change among public universities, universities and private colleges. The researchers adopted the descriptive approach using the survey method, and the research population and sample represented roaming public universities and private universities and colleges participating in the seventh scout camp for the Iraqi universities traveling in Nineveh Governorate for the period from 3-7/5/2023, amounting to (256) roaming people representing (32) universities and colleges. One of the most important conclusions is that the current scale is a tool for enhancing the awareness of university and college tours about environmental issues and climate change. Scout camps have shown a positive impact on enhancing the sense of environmental responsibility among young people. Scout camps have provided an interactive environment that enhances cooperation and teamwork among young people. Among the most important recommendations are the need to use the current scale in similar studies on university and college directories, the need to intensify environmental activities within scout camp programs to enhance awareness and interaction with environmental issues, and the need to encourage young people to carry out applied research projects related to local and global environmental challenges.
