The effect of competitive exercises to learning some types of shooting in handball for players aged (10-12) years

The remarkable development in the current sports movement is a reflection of its reliance on science and field research to achieve progress and success for athletes. Physical education has taken tangible steps towards improvement using advanced evaluation and tools, with a focus on sciences related to sports performance. This development has a significant impact on handball and has attracted the attention of researchers, as the need for research and analysis has increased to identify and address performance-related problems. The research aims to prepare competitive exercises for age groups between (10-12) years in handball. And to identify the effect of these exercises in learning some types of handball shooting. The research sample consisted of players from the National Center for Talent Care in Baghdad aged (10-12) years, totaling (8) players. The researcher prepared a set of competitive exercises and applied them to the research sample at a rate of (3) units per week for a period of (8) weeks. The researcher concluded that competitive exercises have a positive effect on learning some types of handball shooting. Accordingly, the researcher recommended the importance of using these exercises when teaching these young ages.
