The effect of the Plyometric exercise method on some physical variables and the achievement of 200 meters running

Abstract

Since this activity is one of the activities that are characterized by speed and strength, therefore, the researchers considered working with this type of exercise in order to identify the impact of using the method of exercises Plyometric on some physical variables through the training method and the differences between the results of the pre and posttest in the achievement of the sample. The researchers selected their sample from the students who participated in the college festival of field and track games for the academic year 2016-2017.The number of (6) students. The researchers also used the experimental method and experimental design for one group with pre- and post-test, and certain tests were selected to get the results. The researchers used the statistical package (Spss) .After conducting the post-tests were compared with the pre-tests and reached several results, the most important of which: The results after the implementation of the curriculum showed a significant difference in the test of shooting  medical ball weighing (3 kg) to measure the explosive power of the arms in the post-test . This indicates the positive impact of the prepared curriculum. The results after the implementation of the curriculum also showed a significant difference in the test of the prone position and hands tangled behind the head with the feet fixed with the help of colleague lifted the torso as high as possible in ten seconds (back) to measure the rapid strength of the back muscles in the post-test. Back exercises are very important to improve and strengthen the muscular work in the trunk area. The results after the implementation of the training curriculum showed a significant difference in the test of ten rings with the right and left man as far as possible to measure the rapid strength of the muscles of the legs in the post-test. Exercises designed to improve this element have achieved the good results.  The researchers recommended the need of paying attention for the athletics trainers in the method of Plyometric exercises short-distance runners because of their effective impact on improving the performance level of runners physically and thus the appearance of the result on their achievement. A similar study was conducted on a sample of females for the purpose of identifying the effect of this technique on the two components. Similarly, a similar study should be conducted on group games that are characterized by these physical characteristics in their performance
