University environment and its relationship to the professional performance of the faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science At the University of Babylon

Abstract

 

The  research  significance developed  in identifying the nature of the university environment and its relationship to the professional performance of teachers of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Babylon and to identify the role of the university environment in their professional performance  as well as  identifying  the most important obstacles that prevent the availability of an appropriate environment for the development of this environment and the level of their professional performance in order to achieve the teaching and educational process  effectively and  high efficiency .

The research problem focused on the importance of the teaching of physical education educationally and pedagogically  and what this role requires from a distinguished professional performance that can only be acquired by providing the appropriate environment.

The research aims to:

1.Prepare the university environment scale for physical education teachers at the University of Babylon for the year 2018-2019.

2.Prepare a professional performance measure for physical education teachers at the University of Babylon for the year 2018-2019.

3.Identify  the relationship between the university environment and the professional performance of physical education teachers at the University of Babylon for the year 2018-2019.

The researcher used the descriptive method in the survey method. The research sample included 72 teaching staff and professors from the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Babylon

The researcher came up with several conclusions, the most important of which were:

1.The university environment has a positive effect on the professional performance of teaching physical education, their behavior, values ​​and attitudes, and it is considered one of the main factors for the success of their work inside and outside the university.

2.The emergence of a significant correlation between the professional performance and the university environment for physical education teachers at Babylon University.

In light of the research findings, the researcher recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are the need of providing the deanship of the college and the university presidency with the ingredients and characteristics of the appropriate university environment for physical education teachers, and encouraging them to unleash their talents, develop and improve them, and build their independent personality, which benefits them
