The effect of a kinetic story program on the perception of size, compatibility and accuracy of throwing in children Aged 4-6 years

Abstract

The kinetic story is one of the linguistic and literary methods that work to develop virtues in the soul and the way to enter the world of the child and its effect remains in his soul and conscience, and the purposeful story has a great impact on education and upbringing. The perception of size, compatibility and accuracy of throwing are important mental motor skills at this age. 80% of the child's intelligence and mental abilities are formed before the age of 8 years and work to a large extent in developing his compatibility abilities and performing his basic movements. The research problem was evident in the distance of educators and supervisors from such programs for this age group, so the researcher decided to study this problem by preparing a kinetic story program that can contribute to developing these abilities. The research aims to prepare a narrative kinetic program for kindergarten children aged 4-6 years. The experimental method was used, and the design of (two equal groups) control and experimental. The research community is children aged (4-5) years and reached 20 children, 10 for each group. Pre-tests were conducted for the two groups. After that, the narrative curriculum was applied, which included three sections of the narrative educational curriculum (the organizational section, which lasted 5 minutes, the main section, which lasted 30 minutes, and the concluding section, which lasted 5 minutes). Among the results:

1-There was a slight development in the control group in the tests under study.

2-There was a positive development in the experimental group in the tests under study.

3-The narrative program had a positive effect on the development of size perception, coordination, and throwing accuracy in kindergarten children aged 4-5 years.
