Abstract

The research aims to prepare an educational program based on the Woods model that is compatible with the level of the research sample, and to identify the effectiveness of an educational program based on the Woods model in learning the football scoring skill for students of the specialized school, and the preference between the two groups. The experimental research method was adopted for two equal groups, and it was The sample is five-a-side football players from middle school students at the Specialized School (Anbar Governorate Education Directorate - School Sports Activity Department) for the academic year 2021-2022. They were deliberately selected, and they numbered (40) players aged (13-15) years, and after verifying the homogeneity of the sample. The research was conducted on parity between the two groups, and the researchers followed a set of scientific procedures, such as a reconnaissance experiment to test scoring skill. The Woods model program took (6) weeks, and the experimental group applied it at a rate of two units per week, at a rate of two units per week. The study reached a number of conclusions, including: The Woods Model program outperformed the method used in learning the scoring skill, and the most important recommendations that the study concluded were to move towards using modern models in motor learning, including the Woods model, paying attention to specialized schools and providing modern requirements in motor learning of sports skills for five-a-side football.
