Abstract

The research aimed to prepare a training program based on the use of the intermittent training method in self-concept among students, and to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on intermittent training in developing the self-concept of students in colleges of physical education and sports sciences in Iraq, after identifying the level of possession of students in colleges of education. Physical and sports sciences in Iraq for self-concept. The researchers used the experimental method with a controlled design of two equal and equal groups with a pre- and post-test. The researchers identified the research sample as basketball players from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kirkuk, who belong to the college stages (first, second, third, and fourth). For the academic year (2022-2023). They numbered (40) players distributed into two groups, control and experimental, with (20) players for each group. The researchers developed the training program according to scientific principles, which included various activities and exercises. The training program took a period of (8) weeks, with two training units per week. One, and the high-intensity interval training method (80% - 90%) was used.
